As a strategy, Maruti Suzuki has adopted the ISO 14001 standard and promotes it among its Tier-1 suppliers as well. The company also ensures compliance with Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016.

To reduce the impact of the manufacturing process on the environment, Maruti Suzuki ensures optimum utilisation of raw materials, in-house generated electricity and canal water to conserve underground reserves.
