The One!
Monocoque is French for ‘Single Shell’ or ‘Single Hull’.
In automotive terms, a monocoque is referred to as a unibody chassis type of a vehicle. A monocoque chassis is one where the exoskeleton of a vehicle supports the load of the vehicle, including its powertrain. Monocoque or unibody chassis consists of the body structure, bulkhead, floor, roof that are all joined together into a single unit.
This type of chassis has superior torsional rigidity, and weighs less than a vehicle with a ladder frame chassis. Cars with a monocoque chassis have a lighter kerb weight, making them more agile and easy to handle.
