Dal Bati Churma

Sample Authentic Rajasthani Cuisine

Treat your tastebuds to authentic Rajasthani cuisine. The traditional dishes are much like the people of the land itself, now sweet, fierce sometime, but never boring. Reflected in the soft spongy sweetness of Ghevar or the spicy intensity of Laal maans, every dish is laden with history that calls out to you to take a bite of it.

Dal Bati Churma

Daal Bati Churma

A three-in-one treat, it’s an irresistible combo of sweet and savoury; soft and hard and a mélange of flavours that explode on your tongue. Comprising of cooked lentils (Daal), a coarse hard bread (Baati) and semi-sweet softer coarse mixture of flour (Churma), you just can’t say no to it.

Laal Maans

Laal Maans

A fiery meat curry made with Kashmiri red chillies and other spices, its heat quotient is only for brave, adventurous foodies. Served with paranthas or rice, it makes for a wholesome meal. Oh, and don’t forget to wash it down with ice-cold sweet nimboo-paani.

Gatte ki Sabzi

Gatte ki Sabzi

No onions. No tomatoes. Just chickpea flour dumplings with spices simmered in a spicy, thick, yogurt based, tangy gravy. A traditional marwar dish, served with roti or rice, it will simply leave you asking for more.

Ker Sangri

Ker Sangri

Dry they may be, but in the magical hands of Rajasthani cooks, they come alive with a depth of flavours that is quite unbelievable. Extremely versatile, they can be stir-fried or made into a gravy dish. Either way, it’s lip-smackingly delicious.

Dal Bati Churma

Ghevar

A unique dessert, decadent doesn’t even begin to describe this sweet dish. Imagine a sweet cake (made of maida and ghee), soaked in a sinfully sweet sugar syrup, topped with the mouthwatering richness of rabdi, exotic spices, saffron, and nuts.
