    In which cities is Maruti Suzuki Subscribe with SMAS available?

    How can I subscribe a vehicle of my choice?

    Maruti Suzuki subscribe with SMAS is surprisingly easy and convenient. Simply log on to the MSIL website to post your query or visit your nearest dealership to get all the information about your subscription plan and choose your desired MSIL vehicle. Get your brand new vehicle, pay a minimum monthly subscription and enjoy your ride.

    Am I eligible for Subscription programme?

    In order to be eligible for Subscription programme you must:

    1. Be an Indian citizen

    2. Own a valid Driving License

    3. Have permanent & proper residence proof

    4. Have a good CIBIL score

    5. Proof of own income source

    How long does it take to receive the car after completing the booking process?

    The vehicle delivery usually takes 10 to 20 days subject to completion of all the requirements and vehicle availability.

    After the booking you will be updated regularly on the status of your application and tentative vehicle delivery.

    How much do I need to pay for the subscription ?

    The payments toward subscription are required to be paid on a monthly basis. Initially you are required to pay a refundable security deposit, booking amount and one month's rental in advance. For the monthly subscription fees, please visit MSIL website.

    Are the prices mentioned on the website final?

    The prices mentioned on the website are indicative and subject to change due to change in pricing at the time of invoicing of the car

    For how long can I subscribe to the car?

    The SMAS subscription plans offer flexible tenure for you. You can select options from 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months.

    In whose name will the car be registered?

    The car will be registered on your name as the registered owner with hypothecation of SMAS Auto Leasing India Private Limited.

    What are the penalty charges for foreclosure and modification of tenure?

    Penalty charges will be applicable as per the tenure completed before returning the vehicle. For more details you may kindly refer your customer agreement which shall be executed with every customer.

    Are the available cars new?

    Yes. You will be offered brand new Maruti Suzuki vehicle under this subscription plan

    Can I select the colour of my car?

    Yes, you are free to select the car color or any variant & model as you may want under the subscription plan offerings

    Do I need to be GST registered?

    No, GST registration is not mandatory for the subscription plan

    What is the Subscription plan under Maruti Suzuki subscribe with SMAS?

    SMAS India introduces an exciting new feature for the prospective buyers of Maruti Suzuki Vehicles in India which will change how the ownership of the vehicle will look like in the future. Under this program the customer will have option to choose flexibly the subscription tenure of 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months providing a convenient and hassle free experience.

    What do you mean by Lock-in period?

    Lock-In period is the duration in which you are not permitted to cancel the subscription. Under this plan the lock-in period for 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months is 06, 12, 18, 24 and 30 months respectively. For more refer to customer agreement.

    Can I extend my tenure ?

    Yes, you are free to chose flexible extension option. However, you need to notify SMAS India for the same in advance. SMAS India on basis of request will evaluate the request and confirm on the same within 10 days. The new subscription charges will be effective as per the extension period.

    What is included in the subscription ?

    Usage upto 10,000km, 15,000km, 20,000km or 25,000km per year based on whichever option is opted by you. (Excess km charges will be applicable if contracted km is exceded)

    When can I return the car? And what if I want to return the car within the usage period ?

    There is a Lock-In period of 06, 12, 18, 24 and 30 months for 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months tenure respectively. In order to return the car you will need to provide 30 days advance notice for the same. There will be foreclosure charges in case you request the return within usage period. The charges attracted will be:

    1. Return before completion of Lock-In period: 60% of the rental for remaining months of Lock-In period + 30% of remaining rental post Lock-In period

    2. Return after Lock-In period: 30% of remaining rental period

    3. In case you want to return the vehicle in middle of the month the rental for the current month will be chargeable in addition to the foreclosure charges calculated as per the above calculations.

    Can I terminate the subscription after the Lock-in period ?

    Yes, you are free to terminate the vehicle after the Lock-In period. However, you will be required to provide a prior notice 30 days in advance.

    The foreclosure charges will be equal to 30% of remaining rental period.

    Lock-In period is 06, 12, 18, 24 and 30 months for 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months tenure respectively.

    What if I want to cancel the booking after paying the advance rental and security deposit ?

    In case the vehicle is registered, the same will be treated as foreclosure and foreclosure charges will be applicable. In case the vehicle is yet to be registered, the penalty will be equivalent to advance payment & security deposit.

    Do I need to be physically present for taking the delivery of the car ?

    Yes, for delivery, the customer will be required to be physically present along with its driving license & ID proof submitted earlier.

    What are the various modes of payment which I can use for the monthly rentals ?

    Monthly payments will be made as online auto-debit payment transactions. You are requested to keep sufficient balance in your account.

    You will be required to sign NACH form during agreement signing.

    What do I need to pay to get the car ?

    You will be required to pay One month rental in advance along with Security deposit ( equivalent to 1 month rental ) and processing fees of Rs. 1,000+GST. Additionally, subscription monthly charges will be applicable as per the vehicle subscribed.

    What do I need to pay while using the car ?

    You will be required to pay only the monthly rental on 1st of every month in advance. Also, you need to pay any charges that will occur in case of negligent driving or in case of any claim rejected by insurance company. For more refer to the customer agreement.

    When do I need to pay the monthly subscription fee ?

    You will be required to pay (Auto-debit) the monthly rental on 1st of every month in advance.

    How can the payment be made ?

    Monthly payments will be made as online auto-debit payment transactions. You are requested to keep sufficient balance in your account

    You will be required to sign NACH form during agreement signing.

    What are the charges in case of damages ?

    There are no charges in case of damages, unless there is a case of negligent driving and in case of any claim rejected by Insurance company. Furthermore, in case of multiple instances reported, the damages cost will be borne by user. For more refer to the customer agreement.

    What is negligent driving ?

    Any instance where the Insurance Company rejects payment for damages caused comes under negligent driving. It includes incidents resulting from not following the laws of land, drunken driving, not following manufacturer’s and general guidelines of car driving, ignoring warning signs coming on instrument cluster, & rash driving, offences included under Motor vehicle Act etc. Further details can be referred to in the User Agreement.

    What are the charges in case of late payment ?

    For any delay of payment from the due date, a penalty of 2% will be chargeable for the subsequent 7 days of late payment. In cases of any payment delay of more than 7 days from the due date, the vehicle will be liable to be recovered. In such cases, it will be treated as foreclosure and you will be required to pay foreclosure charges a per the agreement. For more refer to the customer agreement.

    What about the insurance & disallowance ?

    Insurance Premium will be paid by SMAS which covers Zero Depreciation and Consumables. Any disallowance & claim filing charges will be borne by Customer.

    Who will pay for tolls, parking, inter-state taxes, fines & challans ?

    All tolls, parkings, taxes, fines, challans and fastag recharges will be borne by the customer

    Can I share my car with someone and split costs ?

    Yes you can. But, being the registered owner, complete responsibility of the vehicle lies you even when someone else is driving it. Nevertheless, it is advisable to use it as your own car and avoid sharing with any third party. Further, Commercial Usage of the vehicle is prohibited. Please refer the User Agreement for more details.

    Is there a limit on kilometers driven ?

    No, there is no limit on km driven. Although, your subscription rental will cover annual kms upto 10,000km, 15,000km, 20,000km or 25,000km as opted by you. For any additional km used, you will be required to pay excess km charges varying from Rs. 2/- per km to Rs. 10/- per km (based on selected Car Model/Variant) + applicable taxes. Payment to be made at the end of the tenure or at pre-closure of the subscription contract.

    Who will take care of the maintenance of the car ?

    SMAS Auto Leasing India Private Limited will take care of the maintenance and repair, which will be done only at Maruti Suzuki authorized workshops. Exceptions to above shall be cases of negligent driving where customer will need to pay for the expenses on their own.

    What is included in maintenance ?

    The maintenance package includes both scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance except for any repair due to negligent driving

    Will pick and drop of the car be provided for periodic servicing?

    Yes, Pick and drop will be provided for scheduled services

    What happens if the car breaks down or meets with an accident?

    In case car breaks down or meet with an accident, then you are requested to contact at SMAS 24*7 helpline number or our service booking number for the assistance

    What happens if I need to carry out repairs in a place which is outside the city I've subscribed to the car from?

    You can carry out repairs of the vehicle outside the city, however you are required to take prior approval from SMAS Service team for the repairs. If the credit facility is not available on that workshop, then you should pay to workshop and claim approved amount from SMAS. Approved jobs will be reimbursed only if the bills are on name of SMAS Auto Leasing India. The same will be verified later for approval

    Will SMAS Auto Leasing India Private Limited provide roadside assistance as well?

    Yes, SMAS India provide roadside assistance as additional value added service to you.

    Are towing and roadside assistance charges included in case of accidents ?

    Roadside assistance is part of subscription package.

    Helpline service covers only towing service (up to 100 km within city limit) and some on-site repair for minor faults like “Jump start” etc

    Anything beyond will be charged to you.

    What services are not covered for free by roadside assistance ?

    What should I do in the case of accidents involving third party damage, or bodily injury to a third person, or causing the death of a third person ?

    In case the insured vehicle is involved and got damaged, you need to inform SMAS about the incident within 24 Hrs and should clearly mention this under “Third Party” claim declaration in motor insurance claim form for further assistance. For more details, please refer Customer Agreement.

    What happens in case the car gets stolen ?

    You shall immediately inform SMAS India about the incident and details thereof and lodge a First Information Report with the nearest Police Station. You will be liable to pay the deficit amount of Vehicle Pre-closure Value and the Insurance Claim settled. For more details, please refer the Customer Agreement.

    What condition do I need to return the car in ?

    Vehicle is expected to be returned in good condition. Although minor wear n tear can be acceptable, but over and above can attract additional charges. For more details, please refer customer agreement.

    Is Buy-back option available ?

    Yes, there are two ways to retain the car.

    A. Either the user can extend the lease/subscription period. User will have to raise a request to SMAS India for approval 30 days in advance.

    B. User may buy the vehicle at SMAS' discretion post the lease/subscription period. The prices for buy-back will be provided by SMAS India depending on usage, condition and market value.

    Are there any restrictions to where I can travel ?

    You are free to drive within Indian geography. Maintenance & other services shall only be provided within the contracted boundary (Indian geography).

    Can I use the car for rideshare services ?

    No, the vehicle is for personal use and cannot be used for any commercial purposes.

    Are there any restrictions on the number of passengers ?

    A vehicle is manufactured in accordance of limited sitting arrangement and we suggest you to follow the same guidelines.

    Can I make modifications or alterations to the car ?

    Alterations or Modifications to the car is not permitted. However, you can use detachable accessories fitted, preferrably through Maruti Suzuki Authorized Dealers. Further, in such cases, you need to ensure that warranty of the car must not get affected under any circumstances. Please also note that any legal requirements in this regard shall have to complied by you.
